2026 Summer Intern Spotlight

Strayos is happy to introduce… Henry Paradies!

Henry joins us from Saint Louis University Law School where he is pursuing his Juris Doctorate, and studies the law with focuses in immigration and environmental law.

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Henry has moved multiple times, spending time in Ohio, Kentucky, and then to Missouri. We are excited that Henry decided to stay in St. Louis this summer and join our incredible team as a Legal Intern.

We sat down with Henry and asked him a few questions about him and why he chose Strayos.

What inspired you to study what you are studying?

I have always been passionate about a career in public service and giving back to my community. As a result, I started my legal career with the goal to eventually practice immigration or environmental law.

What interested you about Strayos? Why did you apply?

What interested me the most about Strayos was the broad diversity of the product line and how each product can be used creatively to solve different problems. From Site Analysis to Fragmentation to Surveying and Drill & Blast design, Strayos' software allows for mining professionals to be more efficient, safe, and environmentally friendly. One of the most interesting examples I observed was utilizing our AI model to track and relocate an endangered lizard population at a future mine site, ensuring compliance with local regulations and protecting local wildlife.

What do you want to do in the future?

I am interested in a career in Immigration or Environmental law.

How do you see your time at Strayos contributing to your plans? What do you hope to accomplish during your time with us?

As environmental work is a huge interest of mine, learning about how Strayos' software is used to make mining more efficient and sustainable, reduce vibrations from blasting to protect local ecosystems, and monitor wildlife patterns has been incredibly valuable to me.

What are you working on right now?

I am currently updating our contract database, researching and learning about trademark law, and drafting our GDPR policy.

I love fishing, kayaking, and the Cincinnati Bengals (Who Dey!)
