From Dirt to Data Center: Breaking Ground on AI- How CNPB Powers Sitework from Survey to Blast
The Massive AI Upgrades Powering Strayos Summer 26
Webinar Replay:
Summary:
Data center construction starts long before the first server rack is installed. Site teams must reconcile design files with actual terrain, estimate large earthwork quantities, coordinate excavation and blasting, manage material movement, and continuously verify that field progress matches the plan.
In This Webinar We covered:
How Cal-Nevada Precision Blasting uses Strayos to manage the sitework behind data center construction. The session will show how drone surveys and digital site models are used to overlay CAD and PDF plans, calculate cut-and-fill quantities, plan drill-and-blast operations, forecast material and explosives requirements, monitor progress, and compare actual conditions against design.
How one connected site model can support engineers, surveyors, sitework contractors, blasting teams, project controls, and construction leadership from initial planning through final grade.

Q&A:
Do you have the communication of data between Epiroc SmartROC machines and Strayos system, as drill plan and MWD-data?
We have a few sites that we do share the MWD data between the rig and the trails. It just depends on if they have a permanent station that we can actually set up on. Our stations we use for survey are mobile, and we don't have an extra system to actually set up per site. A lot of the sites that we work with use Topcon, so I have to transfer the Topcon data for the control points and convert it to a DC for Trimble, which does complicate things. But again, there are a couple sites that we do utilize this information data between the two.
Have you integrated far field and the next field vibration
Everything we do with vibrations just is utilizing regression, building those regressions side of Strayos, getting the constant values and values with inside of Strayos, and using those to predict what our blast outcomes may be. We don't have permanent stations set up. When we do, we call third party out. Or again, our stations are mobile, we have to move them per location site each time we set up a seismograph. We survey the point of where that seismograph is set up at, we put that inside Austral, building how close it is and be able to utilize that for the predictions.
